Elections

This is a little clip on what we did for our elections
topic for the term. It shows our kids voting afternoon
in which room 15 and 16 placed their votes.
Tamaki Intermediate was 1 of many schools which
participated in the kids voting 2008, and would like to
hear some feed back from all of the other schools that
took part.

Science fair

I really enjoyed plannig something for the science fair. It took a lot of effort to make the display board and when I was done I thought it looked really cool. But unfortunately my effort wasn't enough to ge a place among the rest. OOhh well better luck next time.

Science Fair

My Science Fair Project Was 0n: antartica!!!
i was in a group of 3, with my 2 best friends Misipa and Lavinia. It was about global warming effecting Antartica.
In our science fair project we came 3rd place as bronze. we felt very proud of ourselves for coming 3rd place.

My Science Fair Project was called Trapping Our Air! I was in a great group of three with Santana, Meleana an myself Tori. Our project was a bout Trapping Air, then you shake the soft drink, then the oxygen from the soft drink went up into the balloon and blew it up.

Science fair

I enjoyed making my minature volcano for the project and helping with our board. I think we did really well for science fair. I hope everyone enjoyed the year 8 science fair.

Science Fair:

My science fair project was called Night Time Temperature. I was able to work with two cool partners Tekiteki and Anna-Maree. We worked on our project very hard and managed to get the job done.We had to take the thermometres home and keep track of the night sky temperature.I enjoyed working with them and had a great time doing science fair. Thank you to Mrs Sigamoney for pushing us and for her support towards our project .

Science Fair 08

I think that our Science Fair 08,was personaly a disaster because my group didnt complete it. But congradulations to every one else who participated and got awards.

My Personal views...

Well I thought that our 08 Science Fair was very memorable and was
'Colourful'.I enjoyed observing what other Year 8's had studied
and how they explored such munificent topics. I personally think that
this was one of the best of the millennia.
I however explored 'Air matters' in which I wanted to know where the
greatest concentration of Air Particles could be found. I hypothesized
that the greatest concentration of air particles could be found in areas
with high population and excessive dust such as industrial foundations.
It was an intensive research I had ever done, but gave very concise
and specific results. I finally concluded that 'I was RIGHT' the greatest
concentration of air could in fact be found in highly populated areas
and areas like industrial foundations with excessive dust. In the end I
thought about what I had just discovered. All of that work actually paid
off. All round I discovered a very imposing moral, that having the
knowledge is not the power but having the knowledge will get you some where....
